Featherstorm is a game by Anda LLC (United States), "we" below. You can play it without an account. This page explains the little the game collects and how to remove it.
What stays on your device
Your progress, checkpoints, badges, settings, best score, callsign and the list of pilots you hid are saved on your device only. Deleting the app (or clearing the website's data) removes them.
What the squadron board collects
When a run ends and beats your best, the game posts it to the public squadron board. A post contains:
- your callsign (the name you typed, or "Pilot"), score, sector reached, difficulty and ship;
- a random key your device made up the first time you played. We only store a one-way hash of it, which lets your device update its own entry and nobody else's. It is not tied to your name, email, phone or advertising identifier.
If you report another pilot's callsign, we store the hash of your key, the reported row and the time, so we can review the report and stop abuse.
To stop one person from posting or reporting as many players, each entry and report also keeps a scrambled code made from your network (IP) address with a secret key. The code can't be turned back into the address, and the address itself is never stored.
The board runs on Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages and Cloudflare D1). Cloudflare processes these requests for us and, like any web host, briefly sees your IP address to deliver them.
What we don't do
- No ads, no tracking across apps or websites, no analytics or advertising SDKs.
- We don't sell or share your data.
- If you have turned on sharing with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may give us anonymous App Store statistics (like how many people opened the app). We get no personal data from that.
Callsigns and children
Callsigns are public, so please don't use your real name. Names are filtered and can be reported. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child's information is on the board, email us and we'll remove it.
Removing your scores
In the game, open Settings, then Squadron board, then Remove my scores. That deletes your entries and the reports you made from every board at once (reports and bans against a callsign stay until we review them). You can also email [email protected] with the Pilot ID shown in Settings.
Board entries are kept until you remove them, an administrator removes them, or the boards are reset (old entries are then kept in an archive, and you can still ask us to delete yours).
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. Big changes will be mentioned in the app's release notes.
